TKS Motorsports and Ian Madsen ready for starts at Lee County and Knoxville

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (July 5, 2022) - TKS Motorsports and newly appointed wheel man, Ian Madsen, will continue their July slate with a double race agenda during the coming weekend, set to activate action with POWRi 410 competition at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa, on Thursday, July 7. The Mitchellville, Iowa-based operation will enjoy an off night on Friday before returning to high speed with another Knoxville Raceway start on Saturday, July 9.
TKS Motorsports and Madsen activated their recently formed relationship with a Knoxville Raceway start on Saturday, July 2, entering the annual Mid-Season Championship among an ultra-competitive 32-car field. Still molding their comfort level, the team came out swinging and qualified 16th overall, eventually qualifying for main event competition with a fourth-place finish during their respective heat race; Madsen would go on to finish 17th in the evening’s A-Main.
“We’re excited to get to Donnellson on Thursday before throwing our hat into the ring again at Knoxville on Saturday,” Troy Renfro explained, owner of the TKS Motorsports, Albaugh LLC, Iowa Barnstormers, deWit Construction, No. 2KS sprint car. “This is a good opportunity for his team to build some positive momentum for the back half of the season. The Knoxville Nationals will be here before we know it.”
