TKS Motorsports and Tasker Phillips set to visit Jackson Motorplex for the Border Battle
MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (June 15, 2022) - Fresh off of their first start of the season, entering the World of Outlaws sanctioned Brownells Big Guns Bash at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, TKS Motorsports and recently hired gun, Tasker Phillips, will hit the road during the coming weekend, set to visit Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minnesota, for the two-day Border Battle on Friday and Saturday, June 17-18.
Featuring NOSA (Northern Outlaw Sprint Association), the two-day Border Battle will award a total weekend winner’s share equaling $9,000; $4,000 during the Friday night preliminary and $5,000 during the Saturday finale. In fact, the Border Battle will continue Sunday, June 19, at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, but at this time, TKS Motorsports does not plan on attending.
“We’re excited to head to Jackson and see what we can do,” Troy Renfro, TKS Motorsports team owner, said. “Having the opportunity to venture out and test different waters is something we want to capitalize on. Hopefully we can find speed right out of the box and make some noise in Minnesota.”
Although not qualifying for main event action during Knoxville Raceway’s Brownells Big Guns Bash, Phillips and TKS Motorsports logged some valuable lap time, highlighting their two-day campaign against the Greatest Show On Dirt with a tenth-place score in Saturday’s Last Chance Showdown; there were nearly 50 cars entered for action.
