TKS Motorsports and Ian Madsen unveil new look and action-packed agenda for 2023

MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (March 9, 2023) - TKS Motorsports and hired gun Ian Madsen will roll into the new year boasting not only an elbows-up schedule with events across much of the heart of the Midwest, but the team will also feature a new look, set to make its official debut in 34 Raceway’s IRA Outlaw Sprint Series doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8.

In all, nearly 50 starts will make up TKS Motorsports’ 2023 agenda, featuring headliners with not only the Wisconsin based IRA Series, but also the High Limit Series, POWRi, World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, and All Star Circuit of Champions. The team will also focus on weekly competition at the ever-famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

As mentioned, TKS Motorsports will fly an updated look in their coming campaign featuring an array of white, gray, and green, all of which coinciding with dedicated, second year partners, Albaugh Your Alternative and Iowa Barnstormers.

“We’re excited to show off this new look at tracks around the region. We have a big slate planned and getting this beautiful ‘2KS’ in victory lane is our ultimate goal,” Troy Renfro, owner of TKS Motorsports, explained. “Knoxville Raceway will be our primary focus. To win another championship would be surreal, but with so many larger shows within a few hours drive, there’s no excuse to miss those. Ian [Madsen] has the talent and the drive to be up front on any given night and we plan to do that.”

Major events on TKS Motorsports’ calendar include Knoxville Raceway’s annual Knoxville Nationals, Huset’s Speedway’s High Bank Nationals, and Jackson Motorplex’s Jackson Nationals, all of which are set to attract the nation’s finest.

Other premier programs on TKS Motorsports’ upcoming slate include High Limit Series starts at Lakeside Speedway, 34 Raceway, Eagle Raceway, and Huset’s Speedway, the Border Brawl between Jackson, Knoxville, and Huset’s, the annual Bull Haulers Brawl at Huset’s Speedway, and Knoxville Raceway’s pre-Nationals Capitani Classic.

“We have a nice mix,” Renfro continued. “There’s always the possibility to travel elsewhere throughout the season, but for now, we’ll focus on the task at hand.”
